About this role
We're looking for a Software Development Engineer III to take on a senior technical role inside one of our embedded Mino teams. You won't be writing tickets in isolation — you'll be the person who shapes how software gets built, setting the architectural direction for products that serve real users at scale.
At Tetrifox, our Minos operate as fully integrated units inside our clients' organisations. As an SDE III, you're the technical anchor: the engineer others turn to when the problem is ambiguous, the architecture is uncertain, or a decision needs defending. You combine deep engineering skill with the judgment to know when good enough is the right call.
This is a remote role based in India, working within a globally distributed Mino.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the technical architecture of the products you work on — make decisions that balance pragmatism with long-term maintainability
- Design, build, and ship full-stack features, writing clean and maintainable code across the stack
- Partner with Product Owners, QA Leads, and Technical Leads to translate business requirements into precise technical specifications
- Conduct rigorous code reviews — catch bugs, improve patterns, elevate the team's engineering standards
- Identify and resolve production issues promptly, implementing solutions that prevent recurrence
- Mentor SDE I and SDE II engineers through pairing, code review, and architectural guidance
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure decisions, and DevOps practices
- Communicate technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement of development processes across your Mino
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Deep proficiency in one or more of C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Strong understanding of software design principles, SOLID, and common design patterns
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows
- Proven ability to make and defend architectural decisions at a system level
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication — you can explain complex technical concepts to anyone
- Self-directed work style with a track record of mentoring junior and mid-level engineers
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies in a product development context
- Practical experience with DevOps tooling and infrastructure-as-code
- Proficiency with React or similar modern frontend frameworks
- Experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development
- Familiarity with emerging trends such as generative AI and their practical applications
- Previous experience in consultancy, agency, or embedded team models
